Bedford Crab Apples



Bedford Crab Apples grow to be 1 1/4 to1 3/8 inches (3 to 3 1/2 cm) wide, with ribbing.

They have thin, yellow, waxy skin, flushed with pale red.

Inside, the flesh is yellow, firm, crisp, and juicy, with a tart taste.

The fruit ripens in September.

History Notes

Bedford Crab Apples were developed at the Brandon Experimental Farm, Brandon, Manitoba. Released 1916.
