Golden Rule: Be Civil

The topic here is food, which should be pleasant and engaging. No one needs more stress.

Courteous emails are taken seriously and are a pleasure to deal with.

Abusive, insulting, condescending emails will be discarded outright without being read further. Which is too bad, because the writer may have had a few good points to make. It's sad that this has to be mentioned, but in this age of internet anonymity and bullying, some people need reminding that basic courtesy and civility get us all further in life.

General Questions

We sadly can't assist with (because we just don't know!):

  • Purchasing questions;
  • Gardening-related questions (seeds, planting advice, etc.)

Bug Reports

Bug reports are most useful if they:
(a) contain a link of where you were *before* the error occurred;
(b) contain a link to where the error occurred.

Error & Typo Reports

We are still finding typos and are happy to have those pointed out for us.

Factual error reports are most useful if they contain at least one source saying why you think something is in error, just to get us started. Opinion doesn't always count: we ourselves have had a lot of our own cherished opinions about many foods crumble in the face of facts.

If you spot information which is now outdated since we researched the topic (the dates are always at the bottom of the pages), we are grateful for notice of that as well.
