A bulb of Lotus Garlic has 4 to 8 cloves in one layer.
The taste of the garlic is very hot when raw, and still somewhat hot when baked or roasted.

Lotus Garlic gelongs to the Turban sub-group of the Artichoke group of garlics, itself a subgroup of softneck garlics.
It does not have anything to do with the Lotus plant.
