Onion Squash is a winter squash. It is round, about the size of an onion, thus its name. It does not actually have any onion flavour, the name refers to the shape and size only.
The squash has a softish, bright orange rind, with a large, orange cavity inside and a thin layer of soft flesh.
Cooking Tips
Good for stuffing and baking. Serve one as an individual portion. Or, use cut up for risottos or soups.
Storage Hints
Onion Squash does not store well; use within a few weeks.
