History Notes
Pink Pearl Potatoes were developed in 1962 by Belfast, Ireland native Kenneth G. Proudfoot for Agriculture Canada at its St. John’s West Research Station in St. John’s , Newfoundland, Canada, from a cross between Ultimus and Katahdin potatoes.
During development, it was referred to as “SJ62.26-9.”
Released 1969.
