The upright bush needs around 550 hours of cold weather during the winter.
The bush delivers an early harvest of berries that are easy to pick and can be machine harvested.
Premier blueberries are good for the for fresh market. The fruit will go soft if left on the bush too long, which is fine if the market is processing, otherwise if the intended market is the fresh market, it needs to be harvested regularly.
History Notes
Premier blueberries were developed by North Carolina State University(USA) and were released in 1978.
