Red Ball Beans



Despite their name, Red Ball Beans are not quite round; they are slightly oval.

Red Ball Beans are very plump, small beans, that are dark red or maroon with a white eye on the side that has a darker red or black ring around it.

They are grown commercially in Colombia.

Language Notes

Red Ball Beans are called "Frijo bola roja" in Colombia; "Frijo bolón rojo" in Ecuador.
