The cold hardy bush needs at least 800 cold hours during the winter.
It spreads somewhat, but provides high yields, and the berries on the bush hold up better in heavy rains that many others do. They are a late harvest berry.
Aurora Blueberries will have a small scar after picking.
History Notes
Aurora Blueberries were developed at Michigan State University by Dr. Jim Hancock and released in 2003. During development, it was referred to as “MSU 50.”
Language Notes
Aurora Blueberries were named after the northern lights, “Aurora Borealis.”
