The spreading bush has bright pink blossoms, fading to white.
The berries ripen all at once, or in two pickings, for a mid-season harvest. Its large clusters are very tight, so the bush is not good for machine harvesting.
Toro Blueberries are good for fresh market and processing.
It is being grown in New Zealand.

Toro Blueberries were developed by A.D. Draper for the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service at Beltsville, Maryland and were released in 1987.
