Juicers are tools for extracting the juice out of a fruit or vegetable.
A good juicer is designed to get the maximum amount of juice out of produce, with the least amount of manual labour.
It does this by crushing and / or grinding the fibres in produce to release the liquids, and then squeezing those liquids out.
Some sort of filtration is usually then required to separate the juice from the pulp. Many models of juicers incorporate such a filtering device.
Juicers can be manually operated, or electric.
One of the keys to evaluating a good juicer is — including clean-up time — how much total work does it save you?
