Steamed Spring Rolls

Steamed spring rolls are spring rolls cooked by steaming.

The fillings are usually the same as for fried spring rolls. For wrappers, either rice paper wrappers or wheat-based spring roll wrappers can be used.

They are made throughout Asia.

Particularly large versions are made in Malaysia.

Language Notes

Steamed spring rolls are called “Popia Soht” in Thailand, and “Penang poh piah” in Malaysia.
