They are harvested September or November through to April.
The trees can develop the issue of only producing fruit every other year.

Developed by Thomas Laxton (born 1830) and his brother in 1897 in Bedfordshire, England from a cross between Wyken Pippin and Cox’s Orange Pippin. Received an Award of Merit in 1919, a First Class Certificate in 1921. Introduced commercially in 1922.
