Southern Rose Apple

Southern Rose Apples have almost completely red skin. Inside, the white flesh is firm, crisp and juicy. The taste is both sweet and tangy.

Though the apples bruise easily, the flesh doesn't brown quickly.

Cooking Tips

Good for eating fresh, or for fruit salads.

History Notes

Developed in the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand from the Rose variety of apples native to East Indies and Malaya. Released 1986.
