Their medium-thick skin has much netting on it, but almost no ribs. The skin is a greyish, dull green, and green under the surface.
Inside, they have a small seed cavity, and deep orange flesh.
They grow about 6 inches (15 cm) wide, weighing 4 to 5 pounds (1.8 to 2.2 kg.) They are quite round.
80 to 100 days to harvest.
