Black Adzuki Beans are a version of regular red Adzuki beans that are black with a thin white line down the side.

In Japanese cooking, Black Adzuki Beans can be sweetened to be used as a dessert, or in moon cakes.
Black Adzuki Beans are not the same as turtle beans.
Cooking Tips
Black Adzuki Beans have the same cooking time as for Adzuki. They give a slightly pinkish colour to light-coloured food items (such as rice) when they are cooked together.
Nutrition
Like regular Adzuki beans, they tend not to cause as much flatulence in people as other beans.
