Collective Farm Woman Melons

Collective Farm Woman are smallish melons, 7 to 10 inches (18 to 25 cm) wide.

They are round and smooth-skinned. They start off with dark green skin; you harvest them when the skin starts to go orangey yellow.

Inside they have crunchy, firm flesh that is pale yellow or off-white.

They are fragrant and sweet.

80 to 85 days from seed.

Storage Hints

Stores well for several weeks after picking.

History Notes

Collective Farm Woman Melons are from the Island of Krim in the Black Sea, Ukraine. They were brought to North American by a Seed Savers Exchange member in 1993.
