They have ridged, dark-green skin, ripening to golden-yellow.
They will grow 4 to 7 pounds (1.8 to 3.2 kg), even up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg.)
Inside, they have juicy, flavourful orangey-pink flesh with a spicy aroma.
A subvariety has creamy-white skin, but it is judged not to taste as good.
About 110 days from seed.
