Creamsicle Day

The 14th of August is Creamsicle Day.

It celebrates the bars of ice cream, covered with sherbet, and then frozen on a stick.

What is your favourite flavour?

The original was vanilla ice cream covered with orange sherbet.

You can also now get low-fat and low-calorie versions, which are probably not a bad idea for children of any age.

Some stores may give out freebies today.

Treat yourself to a creamsicle at a corner store on your lunch break;
the day before, pick up a box of them at the supermarket and then take them into work with you to share;
try making homemade ones;
look for creamsicle doughnuts, cupcakes or creamsicle cheesecake at a bakery;
have some friends over and make Creamsicle Mimosas.
