Sunrise Apples

Sunrise Apples have yellow skin flushed with red.

Inside, they have off-white crisp, juicy flesh. The taste is sweet. Some feel the flavour has hints of grapes and pears.

The tree is very hardy, down to -40 F / C.

Cooking Tips

For fresh-eating.

Storage Hints

Can only be stored for about three weeks.

History Notes

Sunrise Apples were developed from a cross between McIntosh and Golden Delicious apples and another apple, done by Agriculture Canada’s Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre in Summerland, British Columbia.
