Gragg Apples

Gragg are medium-sized, slightly oval apples.

They have waxy, greenish-yellow skin striped with red.

Inside, they have tough, juicy, greenish-white flesh.

Gragg Apples were first grown around 1860 by a James Gragg on his farm in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

Language Notes

Another synonym is “Winter Queen”, but that name is also used for other apples such as Buckingham.
