Hawaii Apples

Hawaii Apples are large-sized, with yellow skin flushed with pinkish-orange.

The flesh has a sweet taste. Some people think that the taste and aroma is reminiscent of pineapple.

The tree tends to bear every other year, and needs thinning to produce good-sized apples.

History Notes

Hawaii Apples were developed from a cross between Golden Delicious and Gravenstein apples done by a William Silva in Sebastopol, California. Introduced 1945.
