Orange Extract

Orange Extract is made with oil from orange rind, water and alcohol. the Club House brand contains the following ingredients: Alcohol (75%-85%), Water, and Natural Orange Oil. About 5% of the solution will be orange oil.

The extract has a much stronger orange taste than orange juice, and gives a fresh, clean, fruity citrus taste.

Orange extract can be used to flavour baked goods, sweets, homemade liqueurs and added to marinades.

Cooking Tips

To make your own: zest half an orange (no white pith). Mix with 4 tablespoons of water and 4 tablespoons of vodka. Put into a clean jar, screw the top on, and allow to steep for 3 to 5 days. Then strain out and discard the zest. Store in a sealed jar in a cool place for up to 1 year. Makes 4 oz / 115 ml.

Substitutes
