Sourani Olives

Sourani Olives are used both for table olives and oil. Their oil content is good to high, at 20 to 25%.

Thirty percent of all olive acreage in Syria is Sourani Olives (as of 2004.)

In Syria, the trees are grown in the regions of Aleppo, Dar’a, Hama, Idleb and Sweida. They are also grown in New Zealand.

These are not the same as “Souri” olives.
