Virginia Winesap Apples

Virginia Winesap are medium-sized, somewhat heart-shaped apples with deep red skin.

Inside, they have firm, crisp white flesh, which is aromatic with a spicy flavour.

The fruit ripens late October.

The tree’s pollen is sterile.

Storage Hints

Stores well. Flavour improves in storage, though the skin turns a bit waxy, and the white flesh gets tinged with yellow.
