They have waxy, greenish-yellow skin flushed with pale pink on the side that got the sun, and some russetting.
Inside, they have tender, juicy crisp greenish-white flesh, with a good, winey taste with some tartness.
The tree is a heavy bearer.
The fruit ripens in October and clings well to the tree.
Possibly the same apple as Wood’s Greening apple.

Some sources say Reinette Simirenko Apples were developed in the 1800s in the Ukraine by a P. F. Simirenko.
The apple was recorded in 1895.
It was popular in Russia; it was taken into space by Soviet cosmonauts.
