AC Blue Pride are long, oval potatoes with skin that is actually more purple than blue, despite their name.

The flesh is white inside.

The plant blossoms with white flowers with yellow centres.

Cooking Tips

These are waxy potatoes, good for boiling for table use.

Stores well.

History Notes

AC Blue Pride Potatoes were developed by Agriculture Canada at its Atlantic Cool Climate Crop Research Centre in St John’s, Newfoundland, from a cross between potatoes referred to as “N713-16” and “N889-78-3”. The development was conducted by Belfast, Ireland native Kenneth G. Proudfoot who also developed AC Domino Potatoes. Released 1994.
