Asterix Potatoes

Asterix are large, oblong, uniformly-shaped potatoes with reddish skin that is sometimes flaky, and light-yellow flesh.

These are floury potatoes, aimed at the table market and for processing into French Fries.

History Notes

Asterix Potatoes were developed in St-Annaparochie, Netherlands in 1977 from a cross between two potatoes, Cardinal and another referred to as SVP Ve 709.
