The slightly spreading bush grows 5 to 6 feet (almost 2 metres) tall. Its showy leaves make it an attractive bush even when not in bloom.
The berries ripen over 4 to 6 weeks, making this a good blueberry for pick your own and home gardeners.

Chandler Blueberries were developed by Arlen Draper at the ARS Fruit Laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland and Mark K. Ehlenfeldt at the ARS Blueberry/Cranberry Research Laboratory in Chatsworth, New Jersey. They were released in 1994 by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
