The 22nd of June is Chocolate Eclair Day.
To really celebrate today, you could have one at breakfast, one at lunch and one at dinner!
Do you prefer chocolate eclairs with milk chocolate or with dark chocolate on top? Or what about white chocolate?
Eclairs are a lot of work to make at home — first you have to know how to make choux pastry.
But you can typically buy them from an in-store bakery at a grocery store, or frozen. Though, this could be a good day to skip the chain grocery store and show some love to a local, independent bakery.
If you’re in a rush today, your local latte place may have one you can grab on the go with your coffee or tea.
Today, you may wish to different flavours. The cream fillings in eclairs aren’t all just vanilla anymore: you can get coffee, chocolate, pistachio, raspberry, mango, orange… the list goes on.

- look for bakeries offering special flavours or special offers;
- buy a box and take them into work to share;
- buy some and have a few friends over for mid-afternoon coffee, tea and eclairs;
- take a photo of one you are enjoying and share the photo on social media.
