Costeño Amarillo Chiles grow 2 ¾ inches (7 cm) long, ¾ inches (2 cm) wide, tapering to a point.
They will be an amber or yellowish-orange colour, with thin flesh walls.
The taste of the chiles has citrusy notes to it, with a subtle heat of just 1500 – 2500 Scoville units.
The chiles are popular in the Oaxaca and Guerrero regions of Mexico, and are used particularly in yellow mole sauces.
