Crochu de Savoie Beans can be used as a green bean or a dried bean.
As a green bean, the stringless pod is round, curved and plump, and has purple blotches that disappear when cooked. It will be 5 ½ to 6 inches (14 to 15 cm) long.
The dried beans are long, and pinky-beige with dark brown or black mottlings on them.
Crochu de Savoie Beans have a slightly nutty taste.
