Cupids Potatoes are oval with white skin that has some russetting on it.
Inside, they have pale yellow flesh.
These are waxy potatoes.
They were meant for direct sale to consumers, but are no longer being grown commercially (true as of 2006.)
History Notes
Cupids Potatoes were developed in 1965 by Belfast, Ireland native Kenneth G. Proudfoot for Agriculture Canada at its St. John’s West Research Station in Newfoundland from Wauseon potatoes and a potato referred to as “N150-3.”
