On the 24th of January 1922, Christian Kent Nelson of Onawa, Iowa, along with his business partner Russell C. Stover, obtained US patent number 1,404,539 for the “Edy’s Pie” (formerly “Eskimo Pie”) ice cream bar.
Why not get yourself an Edy’s Pie, then come back to the computer and settle in and read the history of Edy’s Pies.
Or if Edy’s Pies aren’t sold where you live, buy another ice cream bar that you enjoy, which no doubt most people would agree is at least a suitable nod to the occasion.
