Gimbsheim Ducks

Gimbsheim Ducks have grey feathers and a dark head, with slate grey shanks and feet.

The male has a greenish-yellow beak; the female has a grey beak.

The eggs weigh around 70g, and have a yellowish to greenish shell.

Males weigh up to 6.6 pounds; females up to 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg.)

History Notes

Gimbsheim Ducks originated near Gimbsheim, Germany between 1958 and 1963. Included amongst its ancestors are Saxony, Pekin and Orpington ducks.
