Green Anjou Pears are often just referred to as “Anjou Pears.”

These are the “standard” Anjou, the ones with the light-green skin, sometimes mottled with a bit of yellow. Sometimes there will be a bit of a red blush on it.

Unlike some other pears that become yellow when they are ripe, there will be negligible colour change in an Anjou as it ripens.

Other names

French: Poire d'Anjou verte
