Hazelnut Butter is 1 part lightly roasted hazelnuts, ground to a paste, combined with two parts butter.
The mixture is then forced through a sieve.
Hazelnut Butter is used as a garnish on hors d’oeuvres, soups and sauces.
Cooking Tips
Hazelnuts must be skinned first because the papery skin around them can be bitter and ruin your nut butter; see entry on Hazelnuts for directions.
