History Notes
Kaskaskia Red Garlic was discovered by Merlyn and Mary Ann Niedens on a farm in southern Illinois; they named it after the nearby Kaskaskia River. The family there had grown it for a few generations and didn’t know its origin or its true name, if it had one.
