Kestrel Potatoes are oval to oblong, with buff skin with some purple, particularly around the eyes.
They have pale yellow flesh.
Early harvest.
They are floury potatoes, though with enough waxiness that some peple say they use them as an all-purpose potato.

Kestrel Potatoes were developed in 1992 by a Jack Dunnett of Caithness Potatoes Ltd, Scotland.
