Longue de Nice Squash are long, narrow squash with a pale green rind ripening to dark dull orange.
They can be so long that they start to curve a great deal. They can grow up to 3 feet (1 metre) long, with a somewhat bulbous base at one end that ranges from 4 to 7 inches (10 to 18 cm) wide, and weigh from 6 ½ to 22 pounds (3 to 10 kg.)
Inside, they have firm, orange flesh that is somewhat sweet, with a bit of a musky taste.
