Magic Lantern Pumpkins are round, occasionally taller than round, with moderate ribbing and a long, thin, rubbery dark green handle.

The rind ripens from dark green to dark orange.

The pumpkins will be 12 inches (30 cm) wide by 14 inches (36 cm) tall, and weigh 15 to 25 pounds (6 ¾ to 11 kg.)

This is a Jack-O’-Lantern type pumpkin, suitable for carving.

The plant is an F1 hybrid, semi-vine, that delivers high yields. It also resists Powdery Mildew, which often plagues pumpkin growers.

115 days from seed.

History Notes

Magic Lantern Pumpkins were developed by a Ted Superak for the Harris Moran Seed Company.

Released 1998.
