Norson Applecrabs

Norson Applecrabs grow up to 2 inches (5 cm) wide.

They have greenish-yellow skin flushed with red.

Inside, they have off-white, crisp, juicy flesh with a flavour that many people comment favourably on.

The fruit ripens late August, early September.

Store for up to 4 months.

History Notes

Norson Applecrabs were developed from a cross between Rescue Applecrabs and Haralson.

The cross was done by a Dr. C. R. Ure at Agriculture Canada’s Morden Research Station in Morden, Manitoba in 1958.

Released 1976.
