Pawhero Potatoes

Pawhero Potatoes are long, narrowing at one end. They have red skins, with relatively few, shallow eyes, and white flesh with occasional red spots in the centre.

These are floury potatoes (though some sources say more waxy.)

History Notes

These are Maori potatoes from New Zealand.

Language Notes

Sometimes spelt “Pa-Whero.”
