Penta Potatoes are round, relatively uniformly-sized potatoes with light-buff, smooth skin that is pink around the eyes. The flesh inside is a pale yellow.
They are promoted as all-purpose for direct to consumer sales, but are actually more on the waxy side.
History Notes
Penta Potatoes were developed by P.R. and J.P. Dijkhuis in 1971 in Warfhuizen, Netherlands from a cross between Bellona and Estima potatoes.
