Red Triumph Beans

Red Triumph Beans are a French filet type bean that grows on a pole bean-type plant.

The plant produces attractive pale purple blossoms, and then purple pods; 60 days from seed.

The pods are round and stringless, and will grow 9 to 10 (23 to 25 cm) inches long. They are tender even up to 8 inches (20 cm), but are better picked shorter than that.

The plant delivers high yields.

Cooking Tips

Red Triumph Beans have a full bean flavour, and are almost slightly sweet.

The pods lose their purple colour when cooked; in fact, they turn olive green almost immediately when they hit water.
