Sonoran Garlic has large bulbs, with cream-coloured skin with a great deal of purple blush.
Inside, there will be 8 to 12 large cloves with beige skin and pinkish flushes. The average is 9 cloves.
The garlic has good flavour and moderate heat.
The plant does well in warmer climates.
It belongs to the Turban sub-group of the Artichoke group of garlics, itself a subgroup of softneck garlics. In certain climates, though, this garlic will actually produce a hardneck.
