Streaker Pumpkins

Streaker Pumpkins are round, with deep orange rind.

They grow to be 9 inches (23 cm) wide and tall, and weigh around 8 pounds (3 ½ kg.)

They are fairly multi-purpose pumpkins. They can be used as a Jack-O’-Lantern type for carving or display, or be used for pies. As well, their hulless seeds are good for eating.

90 days from seed.

History Notes

Streaker Pumpkins were developed by the Dessert Seed Company from a cross between Connecticut Field, Dessert NS404-3 and Small Sugar pumpkins.

During development, the pumpkin was referred to as “NS 418-6.”

Released 1976.
