Zephyr Squash is slender, and looks a little bit like small bowling pins with rounded bottoms.
The stem is green, as is the skin around the rounded bottom. The rest of the skin is a bright yellow. There is a clear, distinct line between the green and yellow areas.
The squash is straight for the most part, though the yellow neck end may have some slight curvature.
The flesh has a firm texture and a fresh taste.
Best harvested at 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) long. Gets tough much beyond that.
This F1 hybrid plant will grow 18 to 24 inches (45 to 60 cm) tall.
50 to 60 days from seed.
History Notes
