Bean & Pasta Soup Recipe

This is an embarrassingly dead easy soup, but it is very hearty and nummy!

In a large saucepan, heat the oil, and dry the garlic and onion till softened.

Add the beans with their sauce, the ketchup, the herbs, the stock and the pasta.

Simmer until pasta is tender; this should be about 10 minutes.

Recipe notes

The tin of baked beans should be about 400g, the standard size tin. Use whatever dried herbs you have to hand and happen to fancy. For the pasta, use shaped pasta rather than spaghetti.
