À la Hongroise is a French cooking term to which varying meanings have been applied.
- Larousse Gastronomique says it is cauliflower with Mornay sauce with paprika added. The cauliflower is then sprinkled with bread crumbs, and grilled;
- Others say just a cream sauce with paprika;
- Others say the sauce is sour cream, paprika, onions and tomatoes.
The main ingredient in the dish can be eggs, fish or meat, but is usually not pork.
