À la Japonaise is a French cooking term that means “in the Japanese style.”
It does not mean actual Japanese dishes.
It can mean for instance decorated in a Japanese fashion, such as with a flower made of thin ginger slices, or presented in a style more typical of Japanese cuisine.
Sometimes classical French dishes with this moniker will have crosne in them.
